CAJUN RED BEANS AND RICE 
16 oz. red kidney beans
1/4 lb. ham, diced into 1/2 inch
1 to 1 1/2 qt. water
1 onion, chopped
1 sweet pepper, chopped
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 pkg. Savola's Hickory Smoked Pork Tasso, cut into 1/2 inch squares
1 lb. smoked sausage (hot or mild)
Salt and pepper to taste
Rice

Can be purchased from fresh meat section at Grocery Market.

Rinse and sort beans. Cover with water and soak overnight. Cover soaked beans with 2 inches water. Add onions, garlic powder, bell pepper. Bring to a slow boil and cook slowly for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Add diced ham, pork tasso and sausage. Cook until beans are tender, 30-45 minutes. Add water sparingly during cooking as needed to keep beans from sticking.

Cook rice according to directions. Serve beans over rice.
