CHICKEN IN A POT | |
1 3 lb chicken quartered 1 tablespoon butter 1 lg. onion 1 can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted 1 heaping tablespoon paprika 3 potatoes, cubed 3 carrots, sliced Directions: Heat butter in large heavy pan. Quickly brown chicken pieces and remove from pan. Add sliced onions, and saute lightly. Meanwhile mix soup and paprika together. Spoon half over onions, arrange chicken pieces over the onions and cover with remaining soup. Cover the pot and cook for 45 min over low heat. Add cooked or can potatoes drained, also the carrots that have been cooked or from the can drained. Cook for 15 minutes more. Serve with green beans, or salad. Serves 4 people.
