FRIED ONION RINGS 
3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
2 tbsp. oil
1 egg
3 med. Bermuda onions, peeled
Oil to the depth of 1 inch in fry pan

Sift the flour and salt into bowl. Add milk, oil and egg; beat until smooth. Cut onions into 1/4 inch thick slices and separate into rings. Dip each ring into batter (drain excess batter over bowl) and drop a few at a time into hot oil heated to 375 degrees. Fry 2 to 3 minutes, turning occasionally. Drain on absorbent paper; sprinkle with salt. 4 to 5 servings.
