OATMEAL & SUNFLOWER SEED COOKIES 
1 c. shortening (1/2 can be butter)
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. uncooked oats
1 c. unsalted sunflower seeds

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Add all remaining ingredients and mix. Drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees about 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
