SUNFLOWER SEED OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 1/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. molasses
2 eggs, beaten
3 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. wheat germ
1 1/2 c. flour (whole wheat pastry)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. rolled oats
1 c. raw sunflower seeds

Cream together butter, sugar and molasses until very light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Sift together flour, salt and baking soda. Stir in oats, sunflower seeds and wheat germ. Drop by rounded teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheets, 1 1/2 to 2 inches apart. Bake 12 to 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool a few seconds before removing.
