AUNT FANNY'S BAKED SQUASH 
3 lb. yellow summer squash
1/2 c. chopped onions
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1 tsp. salt (optional)
2 eggs
1 stick butter
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. black pepper

Wash and cut up squash, boil until tender, drain thoroughly, mash. Add all ingredients except 1/2 of butter to squash. Melt remaining butter, pour mixture in baking dish, spread melted butter over top and sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake 1 hour until brown on top at 375 degrees.
