PINEAPPLE CREAM PIE 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 (15 oz.) can crushed pineapple
3 egg yolks
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. milk or sweet cream
3 egg whites
2 tbsp. sugar
Baked 9 inch pie crust

In saucepan, cream together butter, sugar, pineapple, and egg yolks. Dissolve cornstarch in milk and add to pineapple mixture. Cook over low heat until thick. Pour into cooled pie shell.

Beat egg whites until frothy. Add 2 tablespoons sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form. Spread over pie and bake in 350 degree oven about 10 minutes.
