2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. cocoa

Mix in heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Continue to boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla, 3 cups oatmeal, and 1 cup pecans (optional). Drop by spoonful on waxed paper. Let stand for a while. Will harden as they cool.
