BANANA SPLIT CAKE 
1 bag or box vanilla wafers
2 sticks butter
1 lb. box confectioners sugar
2 eggs
1 can crushed pineapple
5 bananas
Lg. container Cool Whip
Maraschino cherries
Pecan pieces

Crush wafers into fine crumbs. Melt 1 stick butter and add to crumbs. Mix well and press into 9 x 12 x 2 inch pan to make crust. Let chill.

In bowl combine sugar, butter (softened), and eggs. Mix until creamy. Pour over crumbs. Drain pineapple. Spread on top of creamy mixture. Slice bananas over this. Spread Cool Whip evenly over bananas. Top with cherries and nuts. Chill thoroughly, about 4 hours.
