FAVORITE GERMAN CASSEROLE 
16 oz. can sauerkraut and liquid
2/3 c. uncooked rice (not instant)
1 med. onion, chopped
1 lb. ground beef, uncooked
1/4 tsp. salt (may omit)
1/4 tsp. pepper
8 oz. can tomato sauce and 1 can water

Pour sauerkraut into casserole and spread around. Sprinkle with rice, then onion, salt and pepper. Break up beef and spread on top of ingredients. Pour tomato sauce and water on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serves 5. Popular as a potluck or buffet dish.
