FAVORITE HAMBURGER MACARONI
CASSEROLE
 
1 1/2 c. cooked elbow macaroni
1 lb. hamburger
1 can #2 tomatoes (or 16 oz. size)
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1 med. onion, diced
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. salt (scant)
Pepper

Mix in order given and put into a 1 3/4 quart casserole. Bake for about 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Serves 4-6.

Made this for the first time for my 16 year old son who requested "comfort food" for dinner tonite. We loved it. I added some Mrs. Dash and garlic powder, omitted the salt (as we're doing salt free as much as possible) and used a few tablespoons of olive oil rather than butter. I served marinated fresh asparagus on the side. 5 star dinner!
