1 stick butter
1 egg
1/2 c. oil
1 c. sugar
2 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
your favorite flavoring

Cream butter and sugar well; add egg and oil, beating until well blended. Mix dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture. Drop by teaspoons onto lightly greased pan.

Bake in a 350°F oven for about 20-30 minutes or until done and golden brown.
