CHERRY GELATIN BARS 
3/4 c. melted butter
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. flour

Mix together - press into 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

2 pkgs. Knox gelatin
1/2 c. cold water

Sprinkle gelatin over cold water and set aside.

2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. water

Boil for 2 minutes and pour over gelatin.

Beat sugar/gelatin mixture at high speed for at least 10 minutes (until very thick). Fold in 1/2 cup chopped nuts and 1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries. Pour over crust and sprinkle with flaked coconut. Chill and cut into squares.
