DOUBLE-DECK BROWNIES | |
2/3 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 2 eggs 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter (melted and cooled) 1/3 c. coconut 1/4 tsp. almond extract 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted 1 sq. semi-sweet chocolate, melted Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Beat eggs thoroughly. Gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Blend in butter. Stir in flour mixture. Measure 1/2 cup in small bowl. Stir in coconut and almond extract; set aside. Add unsweetened chocolate to remaining batter; spread in greased 8 inch square pan. Drop coconut batter by teaspoon over chocolate batter. Then carefully spread to form a thin layer. |
