HOT SLAW 
1/2 med. head cabbage
1 med. onion
1 can tomatoes
Salt, pepper to taste
1 tbsp. sugar
3 or 4 slices bacon

Chop cabbage and onion. Add tomatoes and seasonings. Mix well. (Chop in tomatoes with spoon - don't worry if it seams dry, cabbage makes its own juice). Meanwhile, fry the chopped bacon in a good sized frying pan until brown - add slaw at once, simmer 15 to 2 minutes or just enough to barely cook onion and cabbage (which should be rather crisp or crunchy).
