1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. candied fruit
2/3 c. oil
1 can applesauce (1 1/2 c.)
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix all dry ingredients (except soda) thoroughly then add oil. Heat applesauce and when completely hot add soda and stir until foamy, then add to other ingredients and mix well. Bake in greased tube pan for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Let cool in pan 1 hour before removing from pan.
