EASY NEVER FAIL CUPCAKES 
1 egg
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sour milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. hot water

Put in bowl in order given. Beat well until smooth. Fill cupcake papers or tins 2/3 full. Bake at 350 degrees. Test for doneness. Cool and ice.
