CAESAR SALAD 
3 garlic cloves, chopped
1/2 c. olive oil
2 heads Romanie lettuce
1 sm. can anchovy fillets
2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1 tsp. salt
1 egg, raw
1 tsp. fresh black pepper
2 slices old white bread, trimmed
3/4 c. grated cheese
Additional 1/4 c. olive oil

In a blender put 2 cloves of garlic, oil, egg, lemon juice, salt, and pepper, anchovies and cream. Pour into bowl, add cheese and hand stir.

Clean and tear Romanie into small pieces and dry. Place in small bowl with dressing and toss gently.

In a small frying pan place remaining 1/4 cup of oil, last clove of garlic and heat. When hot, remove garlic and discard, place the 2 slices of bread that have been cubed and brown until golden. Place in salad bowl, toss again and serve.
