POLISH APPLE CAKE 
1/4 lb. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sour cream
2 apples, chopped fine
1 pear, chopped fine
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream sugar and butter. Add vanilla and eggs and beat well. Sift flour, salt and baking powder; and baking soda together. Add to egg mixture, and alternate when adding sour cream. Fold in the pear and apples. Grease a pan 13x9x2 and pour mixture spreading out evenly.

TOPPING:

1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Combine mixture and spread on top of batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
