CRANBERRY CAKE WITH BUTTER SAUCE 
3 tbsp. butter
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. milk
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. whole cranberries

Cream butter and sugar. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Fold in cranberries. Pour mixture into lightly greased 9 x 9 inch pan. Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees.

BUTTER SAUCE:

1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. cream (Half & Half)
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix the sauce ingredients in saucepan. Heat until hot. After cutting the cake into squares place in individual bowls or plates and pour warm sauce over and serve. It is best to reheat any leftover sauce in a double boiler.
