FRIED CLAMS 
1 qt. calms (pinch out black in belly)
2 eggs (beaten)
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1 tsp. baking powder

Mix eggs, milk, salt, pepper and baking powder together. Dip clams a few at a time in this mixture. Then mix your clams into some cracker meal. (Optional - 1 tablespoon flour may be added to this cracker meal.) Cover well.

Ready for hot fat 3 minutes at 375 degrees. Clams should be turned carefully to brown. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot.
