STRAWBERRY PRESERVES 
Strawberries
Sugar

Wipe, pick over and hull strawberries. Place them in bowl in layers and sprinkle them with sugar. Allow 3/4 cup sugar to 1 cup berries. Permit them to stand 12 hours. Cook 4 cups of berries at a time. Bring them quickly to the boiling point and cook 15 minutes. Place the cooked fruit in a crock for 12 hours. Cover them, then place preserves in glasses and cover at once with paraffin.
