STRAWBERRY PRESERVES 
1 lb. strawberries
1 lb. sugar

Wash and stem strawberries. Put strawberries in enamel vessel, add sugar. Set on stove and boil hard 20 minutes. Set off stove, pour in glass dishes and let congeal overnight. Pack in sterilized jars and pour paraffin (that has been melted) over preserves and seal.
