CHIVE DUMPLINGS 
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. snipped chives
3/4 c. milk
3 tbsp. vegetable oil

Sift flour, baking powder, salt and chives together. Combine milk and oil and add to dry ingredients. Stir until just moistened. Drop by spoonfuls onto hot meat or vegetables in boiling stew. (Not directly into liquid.) Cook, uncovered 10 minutes. Cover and cook 10 minutes longer. 8 to 10 dumplings.
