HONEY RICE PUDDING | |
1/4 tsp. salt 1 1/2 c. water 1 tbsp. butter 1 1/4 c. precooked rice 2 c. milk, divided 1/2 c. raisins 1 egg, beaten 4 tsp. cornstarch 1/4 c. honey 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. grated orange peel Bring butter, water and salt to boil in saucepan. Stir in rice. Cover and remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes. Stir in 1 1/2 cups milk and raisins. Cook over medium heat about 15 minutes, until thickened, stir constantly. Mix remaining milk, egg and cornstarch, slowly into mixture. Cook 2 minutes. Stir in honey, vanilla and orange peel. Cool. Serves 6. |
