EGG SAUSAGE CASSEROLE | |
Toast 6 slices of white bread and place in long Pyrex dish. Cook and crumble 1 pound sausage and sprinkle over toasted bread. Grate 2 cups cheese and sprinkle over sausage. Set aside. 10 eggs 1/2 c. milk Pour over cheese-sausage-bread. Then cover with seasoned bread crumbs and grated cheese. Cover with foil and put in the refrigerator overnight. Bake in 350 degree oven, covered with foil, until eggs are set, about 20 to 30 minutes. Take foil off eggs about 10 minutes before removing from oven. Serve with Cheese Sauce. CHEESE SAUCE: 1 stick butter 1/4 c. flour 2 c. milk 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese Cook slowly until cheese is melted and sauce is thickened. Make this the day before needed and warm in microwave oven when ready to serve. |
