FRESH APPLE CAKE 
3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
2 beaten eggs
1 c. Wesson oil
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. raisins
4 c. chopped apples
2 tbsp. lemon juice

Combine dry ingredients in large bowl. Add beaten eggs and oil. Stir in nuts, raisins, chopped apples and lemon juice. Mix well. (This will form a very stiff batter.) Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour in a tube or Bundt pan, which has been well greased and floured.

May be removed from pan and glazed with 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/3 cup butter boiled together 30 seconds. (Equally good unglazed.) Serves 15 generously.
