GRANNY BRINSON'S FAMOUS POUND
CAKE
 
6 eggs
3 c. sugar
3 c. sifted flour
1/2 pt. whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla
2 sticks real butter

First, mix butter in a large bowl. Add sugar and vanilla. Then add one egg, mix well. Add one more egg, mix well and continue adding and mixing 1 egg at a time.

Add flour in slowly, mixing well but not over beating.

Lastly, add whipping cream by folding it in the batter.

Grease tube pan and flour it then pour in batter.

Bake at 325-350 degrees for 1 hour or until cake leaves side of pan. Let stand in pan until it cools.
