PRUNE BREAD 
2 c. sugar
4 tbsp. shortening
2 c. sour milk
1 c. prune juice
2 c. cut up cooked prunes
3 1/2 c. flour
2 c. grain or whole wheat flour
2 tbsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
Nut meats (opt.)

Cream together sugar and shortening. Add sour milk, prune juice and cooked prunes. Mix together flours, soda and salt and add to above. Add nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour in greased loaf pans. Line bottoms with wax paper. Makes 3 large loaves. This is a 4 generation family recipe.
