BERRIES AND DUMPLINGS 
4 c. ripe berries
2 c. water
1 c. sugar
2 c. biscuit mix
2/3 c. milk

Pick 4 cups of ripe berries. Wash and put in kettle with a lid. Add 2 cups water and 1 cup sugar (or to taste). Boil until berries are soft and there is lots of juice.

Mix 2 cups biscuit mix with 2/3 cup milk. Drop by teaspoonsful into boiling berries. Cover and cook 15 minutes. Sugar and cinnamon may be added to dumpling mix for a sweeter dough.
