CARAMEL OR STICKY ROLLS 
BASIC ROLL DOUGH:

3 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 pkg. yeast
1 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. butter
1 egg

FILLING:

1/4 c. butter
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. brown sugar

CARAMEL:

1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. butter
3 tbsp. corn syrup
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Roll dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup flour with yeast, salt and sugar. In saucepan, heat milk and butter (120-130 degrees); add to flour mixture along with eggs. Beat with mixer. By hand, stir in remaining flour to form stiff dough. Cover and let rise until double in size, about 1 1/4 hours.

Roll dough out on floured surface to an 18x15 inch rectangle. Brush with melted butter. Combine sugar and cinnamon (and crushed nuts if desired). Sprinkle over dough. Starting with 10 inch side roll or cut into 18 inch slices.

Combine brown sugar, 3 tablespoons corn syrup, butter and nuts in a 9x13 inch pan. Heat and stir together. Arrange rolls on mixture. Cover and let rise 45 minutes.

Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 20 to 22 minutes. Cool one minute. Invert onto serving plate. Let stand one minute and remove pan.
