EASY INDOOR BARBECUED RIBS | |
4 lb. beef ribs, cut into 2 or 3 sections EILEEN'S HOMEMADE BARBECUE SAUCE: 1/2 cup brewed coffee (or instant granules dissolved in 1/2 cup hot water) 1/2 cup ketchup (Hunts) 1/4 cup sugar 3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp. vinegar 2 tbsp. grated onion 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 clove minced garlic Prepare the sauce by combining all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring them to a boil and reduce the heat to a simmer for about 10 minutes while stirring now and then. Preheat the oven to 500°F (or as hot as it will go) and bake the ribs with the curved side down for 10 minutes. Remove them and baste with the barbecue sauce while the oven temperature is being reduced to to 325°F. Return ribs to the oven. Bake for a 1/2 hour, basting often. Turn ribs in the oven and baste with sauce another 1/2 hour. Note: I drip fat from the ribs before turning for the second 1/2 hour. Submitted by: Eileen |
