APPLE CRISP 
4 medium tart apples
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. oatmeal
3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
3/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/3 c. softened butter

Preheat oven to 375°F. Peel and slice apples; place in greased 8-inch square dish. Mix remaining ingredients and sprinkle over apples.

Bake until topping is golden brown and apples are tender (about 30 to 45 minutes).
