RHUBARB CAKE DESSERT 
1/2 lb. butter
2 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar

Crumble together. Press mixture in 9 x 12 inch cake pan.

CUSTARD:

5 c. rhubarb, cut fine
6 egg yolks
2 c. sugar
4 tbsp. flour, rounded
1 c. cream
1/4 tsp. salt

Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.

MERINGUE:

Beat 6 egg whites until stiff. Beat in 12 tablespoons sugar, 2 tablespoons vanilla, and a pinch of salt. Put this on top of filling before quite done and bake until done.
