RHUBARB DESSERT 
1 1/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1a egg
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts
1 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 c. rhubarb, cut fine
2 tsp. hot water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 scant tsp. nutmeg
1 c. flour

Mix and place in pie pan. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with caramel sauce.

CARAMEL SAUCE:

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 tsp. flour
1/2 c. cream

Boil and add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Cook until thick.
