BUTTERSCOTCH PIE 
1 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 c. sugar

Mix brown sugar, flour and salt; add milk and butter. Cook in double boiler until mixture thickens. Add well beaten egg yolks and cook 20 minutes longer. Remove from fire; add vanilla and sugar, beating well. Pour into baked pastry shell, cover with meringue and brown lightly.
