“TATER TOT CASSEROLE” IS IN:
NEXT RECIPE:  TEXAS CHILI

TATER TOT CASSEROLE 
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 bag tater tots
shredded cheese
1 lb of ground hamburger meat

Brown hamburger meat. Add cream of mushroom soup and stir together continuously.

Let simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.

Place mixture in the bottom of a casserole dish. Lay tater tots neatly on top of the mixture.

Place in oven on 350' and let the tater tots brown.

Sprinkle with cheese; melt it in the oven and ENJOY.

Serves 6 or 7

For dinner tonight, I'm going to poach 2 chicken breasts, cut those up, add Cream of Chicken with Mushroom soup, tater tots and top with a 5 cheese blend. Wish me luck!!

Yummy! meat and potatoes cant be beat! But I did have some overly cooked kale chips that got really crunchy (my husband said they tasted like salty dust!!!) and so i crunched them up and added some green beans to the meat soup mixture, then sprinkled the cheese and added the tots...so great!!!!

I have cooked up ground sausage, instead of burger, then when the casserole is done cooking I top with 'dunkin' eggs!! Great breakfast or anytime!!

Great question! I like to thaw out the tots so they get crunchier. Also, I like to use the Crowns instead of tater tots and I too, use french cut green beans... Looks like that's whats for dinner!

I had to make something to take for Thanksgiving Dinner at my sister's house. I had this once before, and thought it was a little bland with just hamburger. When I made it this time, I used a pound each of ground sausage and ground burger. I added finely minced onion, steak seasoning and a bit of creole seasoning (for a little spicey kick), to the meat as it was browning. NONE of it was left after dinner.

We always used the french cut green beans in ours but Ive had to alter the recipe over the years since my husband doesn't like mushrooms... Ive tried cheddar cheese soup and cream of onion and they work great too...

My family loves this! We added the crispy fried onions on top towards the end of baking...last 6-8 minutes. It adds great flavor!
