PEABODY CASSEROLE 
1 lb. hamburger
1 c. chopped onions
2 tbsp. flour
3 tbsp. chili powder
1 c. water
1 can tomato soup
1 1/2 c. light cream
Salt to taste
12 corn or flour tortillas
1 (4 oz.) can diced green chilies
1 1/2 c. grated cheese, Jack or cheddar

Cook hamburger with 1/2 cup onion until brown. Add flour and chili powder; add water, cover and simmer until thick. Mix soup, cream, remaining onion, green chilies, and salt. Cut the tortillas into strips and place in buttered casserole. Alternate tortillas, meat mixture, soup mixture and cheese until filled. Put cheese on top. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes. This casserole is better if you let it set about 15 minutes before serving.
