1/2 c. sugar for caramel 5 eggs 1 (13 oz.) can undiluted evaporated milk 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 1/4 c. sugar Melt 1/2 cup sugar in a round 8"x3" aluminum cake pan very slowly until golden. Swirl the mixture (caramel) to cover the bottom and sides of the pan. Let the pan cool totally. Place the rest of the ingredients in the blender and liquefy on High. Pour the mixture in the pan. Place pan in shallow baking dish and add water. Cook in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until set. Allow to cool by refrigerating then invert on a platter. |
