PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp. hot water
1/2 c. moist peanut butter
1 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream shortening. Add sugars and cream, eggs, hot water, peanut butter. Sift flour, soda and salt. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture.

Roll, flatten and bake. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Yields 4 dozen.
