MOLASSES DROP COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 unbeaten egg
1/2 c. molasses
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. nutmeg and cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. water

Heat oven to 375°F. Cream sugar and shortening. Add egg and molasses. Add dry ingredients alternately with water. Drop by teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, these are soft cookies.
