BARBECUED SPARE RIBS 
2 lb. spare ribs, cut in serving portions
1 med. onion
2 tbsp. salad oil
1/4 c. lemon juice
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 c. water
1 c. chili sauce
Salt
Pepper

Place ribs in baking pan and bake in moderate oven for 30 minutes. Chop onion, brown in salad oil. Add juice, vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire, water, chili sauce, salt and pepper. Cook slowly 20 minutes. Pour over spare ribs. Continue baking for 1 hour. Serves 4.
