VEGETABLE SOUP 
1 1/2 - 2 lb. chuck or shank
1 or 2 bones & marrow

Cook meat 1 1/2 hours. Add 6 carrots, 6 to 8 celery stalks, 2 onions, barley, 3 parsnips, parsley and tomatoes. Cook 1 hour. Add 6 potatoes, string beans, peas, corn, limas, 3 turnips, 2 cans tomato soup, a handful of rice and soup macaroni, 1 teaspoon sugar and salt to taste. Continue cooking until vegetables are tender.
