TOMATO PUDDING 
1 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. water
1/4 lb. butter
2 c. canned tomatoes
1 sm. can tomato paste
1/3 (tomato paste) can water
1/8 tsp. salt
6 slices bread, cubed

Combine brown sugar and water. Heat to boiling, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

Drop butter in. Add tomatoes and tomato paste, water, and salt. Stir until blended.

Place bread cubes in a casserole and pour mixture over. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Serves 10-12 persons.
