FRANK'S® AND JOYCE'S POT ROAST
DINNER
 
Pot roast, 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 lb.
Potatoes
Carrots
Onions
Salt
Pe pper

In large electric fry pan (14 inch) set dial on sear (approximately 450 to 500 degrees). Salt and pepper meat on all sides, sear meat until black (burned) on all sides. Add 1/2 small onion, chopped, and 1/2 cup hot water. Continue searing. Allow water to boil off and burn onions and meat again. Reduce heat to simmer and add approximately 1/2 pan full water and then cover. Peel vegetables and cut potatoes into 1/4 pieces. When meat has simmered for approximately 20 minutes, add vegetables, more water if necessary, Continue simmering until vegetables are done.
