FANCY BISCUITS 
5 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. shortening
3 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. warm water
2 c. buttermilk
1 yeast cake
3 tbsp. baking powder

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Combine ingredients as you would for regular biscuits. Store dough in tightly closed plastic bag or bowl in refrigerator. Use as needed. Do not let rise at any time. Roll out and bake on greased pan in 450 degree oven for 10 minutes. NOTE: I let mine set in 250 degree oven for 10 minutes. Then turn oven up to 450 degrees for about 7 minutes.
