PUMPKIN PIE 
3 eggs
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 tbsp. molasses
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. canned pumpkin or mashed cooked pumpkin
1 c. heavy cream
1 unbaked pie shell (with high fluted rim)

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Beat the eggs with sugar, salt, and spices. Add molasses, vanilla, pumpkin, and cream and mix well. Adjust seasonings.

Pour the mixture into the crust and bake for 10 minutes. Lower the oven temperature to 400 degrees and bake until a knife inserted into the center of pie comes out clean, about 35-45 minutes.
