STUFFED PEPPER SOUP 
2 lbs. ground beef
bit butter
1 medium onion, chopped
salt to taste
pepper to taste
pinch sugar
2 large green peppers, chopped
1 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
3 Cups water
2 Cups instant rice
2 to 3 cloves chopped garlic

Brown ground beef and onion in a skillet with a little butter, salt, pepper and sugar. Drain. Mix ground beef with green peppers, tomatoes, tomato sauce and water in a large stockpot or dutch oven. Bring to a boil, then simmer until green pepper is soft. Add rice and simmer until rice is cooked. You can also add 2 to 3 cloves of chopped garlic with the onion and beef if desired.
