4 qts. sliced cucumbers, do not peel
1 qt. sliced onions
1/2 c. salt
3 trays of ice
2 1/2 c. water
4 tsp. turmeric
2 lbs. sugar
2 tsp. mustard seed
2 tsp. celery seed
2 1/2 c. vinegar

Cover mixture of cucumbers, onion, and salt with ice for 3 hours. Wash and drain. Boil above mixture with all remaining ingredients for 15 minutes and can away.
