ITALIAN MEATBALL SAUCE 
1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
1 egg, beater
1/4 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. pepper
Dry bread crumbs
Grated Parmesan cheese
2 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes
2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
1 onion, chopped
1 clove of garlic, minced
2 tsp. oregano
1 c. water

Meatballs: Take 1/2 of ground chuck and break up with fork. Combine egg and 1/4 cup of water. Add salt, pepper and basil. Add to meat with bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese; mix well. Shape into 1 inch meatballs and brown on all sides in a large skillet.

Sauce: Add remaining ground chuck, onion and garlic; brown. Drain grease. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, salt, pepper and water; mix all together. Add meatballs with drippings from skillet and simmer for 2 hours.
